Is the roof on this page measured from my address?
No. This page uses a fixed sample roof so it costs nothing to open and shows nobody's home. Only your company name and your price per square change what you see. Inside Roofexa the same screen reads the real roof for the address you type, from aerial imagery.
Where do the squares come from?
From the measured roof area, the measured pitch and your waste factor: area multiplied by the pitch factor, plus waste, divided by 100. The sample here uses 15 percent waste, which is the default you can change per estimate or per company.
Is the price a national average?
No. It is whatever you charge. On this page you type your price per square; in the app you set material and labor rates, markup and scope language once, and every estimate is built from those.
What does the homeowner receive?
An email from you with a link to the estimate: your letterhead, the scope line by line, the total and a signature line. They read it on their phone and approve it there, and you are told when it is opened and when it is signed.
Does a detached garage get measured?
Yes, when the estimator measures it. Every structure on the lot is measured separately, which is why the sample with a detached garage shows two structures rather than one, and why the price is not quietly short by a garage.
